Anime IRL does not collect any data. Period.

• No accounts, no servers. The app never connects to our servers — we don't have any.
• Your records stay on your device. Check-ins, photos, notes and your travel notebook are stored only in the app's local storage on your iPhone. Deleting the app deletes them.
• Location. If you allow location access, it is used solely to sort spots by distance, processed on your device, and never stored or transmitted. The app works fully without it.
• No analytics, no ads, no trackers. We use no third-party SDKs of any kind.
• Maps. Map tiles are displayed via Apple Maps (MapKit), which is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
• Sharing. When you share a visit card, it is handed to the iOS share sheet — where it goes is entirely your choice.

Anime IRL is an unofficial fan-made guide. It contains no copyrighted artwork, footage, character images or music. Anime titles appear only as factual text references, the way a guidebook refers to works associated with a place. All melodies in the app are original compositions, and all photographs were taken by the developer.

All anime titles are trademarks of their respective owners. This app is not affiliated with or endorsed by any anime production company.

Most anime locations are ordinary neighborhoods, schools and shrines. Please keep quiet, never enter private property or school grounds, take your trash with you, and support the local shops. The app's built-in Japan Travel Guide has full etiquette tips.
